Trading Places...

As I've thought about how things have changed between Sally and I over the past years, I came to a remarkable realization -- it's all been merely "trading places"

What do I mean? Well...

"I love you..."

For humans, especially in relationships, this is probably one of the most meaningful (and potentially problematic) statements of all time.

Why? Let's have a look...

The "Gaps"

So, the way I can see it now, the blog here is addressing two distinct "Gaps" to be mindful of:

1. The transition from Sandy to Sally.
2. The transition from Sally to whatever the fuck is next.

Third Date?! O.o

After my last message about Susan, I was pretty sure that there was not going to be another date with her -- and that made me sad. I really like her. She's smart, funny and sexy. It's also nice that she's actively acknowledged that she's into me.

Well, out of the blue, she contacted me about going out again. What do you think I said? Yes, of course. Here's what happened!

Second Date: "New John" emerges!

So, not long after my first date with Susan, I set up to do a second one.
Well, it was certainly interesting.

Why? Well, let's dig in a little and see...

First Date!

I had a first date last night with a wonderful lady that I shall name Susan the Social Worker.
How did this come to be, you ask?! Simple.
I set up an account on OKCupid this week and started actively cultivating new opportunities!

Let's have a look at how I got here, shall we?

Well, I cannot say that it's entirely unexpected.
On New Years Eve Sally and I ended up having another conversation about the previous evening.
Great timing, eh?! O.o
It was as painful as it was illuminating.
