Today was a fun day with Kate -- I had the chance to meet her Mom!
We went out for breakfast at one of my favorite spots. Everything went well. I really enjoyed spending time getting to know her and she liked me (always a good thing, right?). She took the first picture of Kate and I together so that she could share with her family members when she got back home.
I am looking forward to setting up a dinner and introducing Kate to my parents. We all live close, so this is pretty easy to do. I'm hoping that it happens this weekend! Will talk with my Mom this week to arrange it.
Things are moving forward. Life is good. I am happy.
What a relief!
OK. I had a phone call with my mom today and I told her that I was hoping that we would have a chance to get together this weekend and give her and my stepfather the chance to meet Kate. We talked about it and we're going to have dinner together.
I just got off the phone with Kate and told her. She's excited to meet them and is hoping to make a good impression. I know she will AND I told her that my Mom trusts my judgment (whether she actually should or not! :-D ).
Really looking forward to this. It's going to be a lot of fun.
