First Dates

Well, this has been a banner week. I have had four first dates in the past week! I am just super excited about the whole thing.

My expectations are entirely reasonable -- I want to meet new women, have a good time and enjoy the company of others. That's it. Nothing more. Fortunately, the batting average is pretty good so far.

Here's the brief recap.

Date #1 - Result: ++
Airline pilot. Lives close. French decent. Very pretty lady. We hit it off. Just a coffee date, but we left very interested in seeing each other again. Connected afterward via e-mail. She sent a picture. Only downside is that flying keeps her out of town about 50% of the time.

Date #2 - Result: -
Tennis instructor. Lives close. Limited set of interests. Very superficial conversation. Attractive lady, but came off as quite skittish. She said she had a good time, but it was like pulling teeth for me. Unlikely I will call her again. If she calls me, maybe... but no guarantees on that.

Date #3 - Result: --
Not clear what she does for a living. A good drive (40 mins away) from me. Perky, but absolutely horrible on the conversational scale. Had to pry detail from her. Kept

Date #4 - Result: ++
Works for an insurance company. Lives close. We met at a local restaurant where I know the owners and had dinner last night. Spent three hours together chatting!! Wonderful gal. Great conversation. We're both interested in seeing each other again.

In addition, I've connected with four other women who are interested in me. We'll see how this plays out. All in all, I am having a good time starting up new relationships and just throwing myself into dating.
