OK. My first foray into dating was a huge failure. Notch number one on my experience belt. So it goes, right?
I've decided that I will give online dating a try. Signed up for a popular service and am sending invites off.
We'll see what happens with this. I am cautiously optimistic. Don't want to get my expectations too high, else I might never leave my house again! LOL

Well, in the (roughly) 24 hours that I've had this account open, I've reached out to about 30 women via their published profiles.
I have had several responses already and have my first coffee date on Friday AM! There's another gal that I responded to who asked some questions regarding my separation, to which I promptly responded.
I must confess, I am starting to get my hopes up a little bit... :-D

One of the ladies that I wrote back to sent me back a note that was very complimentary and gave me her phone number. She said that she wants to talk to me! I asked her to send me back a time when I could call her tomorrow.
I am now officially liking this.
Great news! Just take it SLOW!!! Meet several for coffee. Then meals etc!
ReplyDeleteGiven the number of positive responses I've received, I will need some time to have all of the calls and coffees I am lining up. I have no intention of trying to go too fast. I have lots of time to meet and get to know people before things get too serious. I appreciate your concern and watching out for me.
